Our sauna is a short walk from our cabins.

Your booking is for 3 hours. We recommend enjoying the sauna in rounds of 15 to 20 minutes, stepping out between sessions to cool off. More experienced sauna users may stay up to 30 minutes at a time.
Everyone’s heat tolerance is different. Start slow, listen to your body, and take breaks as needed.
Please note: time spent bringing the sauna up to temperature is included in your booking window.

The sauna is wood fired and takes time to heat up. A simple lighting and tending guide is provided on site.
Only use the dry, seasoned firewood supplied. Please don’t use found or damp wood, as it may not burn properly and can release unwanted substances.

With a wood fired sauna, you’re in charge of the heat.
Add logs to increase temperature.
Allow the fire to burn down or briefly open the door to reduce heat.
Temperature changes take time, so be patient before adding more wood or releasing heat.
A wall thermometer is provided for reference. Typical sauna temperatures range from about 140°F to 210°F, with many guests enjoying around 185°F.

Please do not use the sauna if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or anything that impairs judgment.
Avoid entering the sauna immediately after a large meal or intense physical activity.
Do not stay in the sauna if you begin to feel unwell, dizzy, nauseous, or lightheaded.

Please leave the sauna as you found it. Do not add additional logs to the fire at the end of your session and make sure the door is secured when you leave.
Give your body at least 10 minutes to rest and return to a normal temperature. Rehydrate fully before consuming alcohol.

Please bring your own towel, robe, and sandals or flip flops for moving between the sauna and shower. Please also bring your own water bottle. -
Sauna use can carry risks, especially for those who are pregnant or have heart, respiratory, or blood pressure conditions, are feeling unwell, or have a fever.
